Ross Hunter
Founder & Director at Graven Images
Ross Hunter founded Graven in 1986 - the Glasgow-based studio works in over thirty countries with both global brands and ambitious start-ups. Graven specialise in the design of hotels and workplaces, bars and restaurants, brands, strategies and marketing support.
Graven works with clients throughout the world and have delivered projects in China, Ireland, Germany, France, Russia, the Middle East, USA, South Korea, New Zealand and of course the UK, primarily in Hospitality, Education, Finance, Travel and Public sectors.
Gordon McKinnon
Global Brand Veteran
Gordon McKinnon is a global brand veteran: creates brands, recreates brands, builds brands, operates brands, buys brands and sells brands. In January of 2015, Gordon established himself as an “independent”: but an independent with an extraordinary global network of like-minded co-conspirators. Over the years, Gordon has worked with some of the most recognizable brands of the hospitality industry: SAS Hotels International, Malmaison Hotels, Radisson just to name a few.
Prior to this Gordon was Chief Branding Officer of Carlson in Minneapolis, MN, USA for five years. And before that, he was EVP Brands and Marketing for The Rezidor Hotel Group, based in Brussels, Belgium, for seven years.
Ian Springford
Director at ISA & Chairman at Apex Hotels
Ian founded Ian Springford Architects in 2000 before changing the company name to ISA in 2016. He graduated from Edinburgh College of Art and worked for several Edinburgh architectural firms on a broad range of building types before establishing his practice. He is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the business and is involved in every project in the office.
Ian has significant experience in the hotel sector where he is Chairman of Apex Hotels, a chain of independent 4-star hotels in the UK. He has also lectured at Napier University and The University of Edinburgh.
Emma Franks
Head of Interior Design at ISA Architects
A graduate of Glasgow School of Art, Emma is ISA's Head of Interior Design and has been with the practice since 2007.
Emma has worked in London and Amsterdam, as well as 10 years at a number of respected Edinburgh architectural and design practices. Her experience covers a broad range of projects ranging from retail and corporate design through to leisure and the hotel industry and includes significant input on the Scottish Parliament. She oversees and is responsible for the interior design aspects of all ISA projects. Emma has lectured at Glasgow School of Art.
