We’re heading into 2021 shaking things up in Manchester: new year, new venue (and a few other surprises too)!
2021 will see more brands and product innovations on show
Our first reveal:
We’re moving the Manchester #DesignPopUp to 9th–10th September, and condensing it into two buzz-filled days across the Thursday and Friday.
That means making the most of the long summer daylight hours, not to mention that September ‘back to school’ vibe — and welcoming more dynamic people, brands and products through our doors.
And speaking of doors, that’s not the only move we have planned. After our last #DesignPopUp, we shut the gates and said goodbye to Upper Campfield Market Hall, our home in the North West for the last five years.
The stunning Hallé St Peter's by Stephenson Architects
Our amazing new venue is Hallé St Peter’s in the heart of the growing Ancoats cultural scene.
It’s a beautiful historical space from the neighbourhood’s rich past in the textile industry, enhanced by an award-winning modern extension by Stephenson Studio.
As a former church, its high ceilings and huge windows guarantee glorious natural daylight for the product displays to bask in. The venue's also home to the Hallé Orchestra (one of the top 10 orchestras in the UK) and their lively concerts, so the artificial lighting for the evening is bright enough to hit the right note. And we’ve made sure there are better facilities available for breaks if bathrooms and kitchens are your thing.
The famous Parmesan & Prosecco Party continues in 2021!
But it’s not all change, we’re holding on to the heart of #DesignPopUp, and what we do best — creating the scene for new inspiration and connections in the specification market.
That means keeping the daily keynote talks from leaders in the sector. And, of course, bringing together the NW’s design and architecture community at our Thursday evening Parmesan, Prosciutto & Prosecco Party. Make a note of the new dates, because there are going to be plenty of reasons to tempt you away from your desk!
